Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Days shifts, 36-40 hours per week, block scheduling with no self-scheduling

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical department, supporting general, gynecology, urology, ENT, vascular, and robotic cases.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, technologists, and charge nurses to ensure smooth operative procedures.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including drug-free campus requirements and documentation standards.
• Ensure accurate documentation using EPIC OP TIME EMR system.
• Attend unit-specific and hospital-wide orientation if needed.
• Respond to call shifts with a response time of 30 minutes, including night, weekend, and holiday call coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Illinois RN license or active application confirmation.
• BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in general surgery, gynecology, and urology.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to scrub in with surgical cases.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent OR experience within facilities similar in size over the last 2 years.
• Familiarity with robotic surgery, including DaVinci systems.
• Experience in vascular, ENT, or complex surgical procedures.
• Ability to float between surgical teams or sterile processing departments if needed.
