Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignment, Days shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized telemetry nursing care in a 25-bed cardiac unit.
• Monitor patient heart rhythms and respond to arrhythmias promptly.
• Manage chest tubes, non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips, and weight-based heparin infusions.
• Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment such as Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps.
• Document patient care accurately in EMR system.
• Collaborate with a team of over 40 staff members to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Valid RN license in Texas or applicable state.
• At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience.
• Experience with Meditech EMR system.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous telemetry unit experience.
• Experience managing chest drains and medication drips.
• Familiarity with Meditech software.

Note: This is a travel RN position based at Corpus Christi Medical Center, with a schedule of three shifts per week, totaling 12 hours each day.
