Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Schedule / Job Type:
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, supporting acutely ill patients with diverse diagnoses.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform assessments according to hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatments and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance standards, including mandatory pass/fail EKG testing.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and manage various clinical situations such as respiratory issues, post-op care, pain management, and more.
• Float to multiple campus locations as needed to support staffing requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• BLS certification; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Ability to pass the required EKG exam during compliance.
• Must have current Driver’s License with proof of local residence within 50 miles for non-local candidates.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with acutely ill patients, including those with respiratory, cardiac, or post-surgical care needs.
• Familiarity with IV medication administration, including sheparin drips.
• EPIC EMR experience.
• Flexibility to float between facilities and work night shifts.
