Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location
• Albuquerque, NM

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week

Key Responsibilities
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care during shifts
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and responses
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation
• Identify and address patient and family education and discharge needs
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel on the clinical unit
• Complete patient-specific education and competency testing in accordance with unit standards

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of two (2) years of current experience in a large operating room setting
• Ability to scrub during procedures
• Valid Nursing License in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system (training available on-site)
• Orthopedic, EENT, and/or vascular surgical experience a plus
• Flexible team player accustomed to fast-paced environments
