Registered Nurse - Oncology
Location: State College, PA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care to oncology patients following established standards and healthcare practices
• Assist healthcare providers with patient assessments, treatments, and education
• Administer chemotherapy, medications, and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond effectively during emergency situations
• Collaborate as a team member to coordinate comprehensive patient care and engage patients and their families

Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of oncology nursing experience
• Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license
• Completion of or ability to complete bio/chemo or fundamentals course from ONS within two weeks of hire
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association, renewed every two years

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions effectively
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Knowledge of safety protocols and medical terminology
