Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to critically ill, medically complex patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Perform procedures such as bedside central and arterial line placements, chest tube placement, rapid sequence intubation, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and manage codes blue emergencies
• Monitor and manage patients experiencing respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, shock states, cardiac arrests, COVID-19, ARDS, DKA, and alcohol withdrawal
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and document patient care accurately using EPIC charting system
• Float between units as needed, including tele units, ensuring seamless patient care continuity
• Assist with post-procedure care and patient stabilization
Required Qualifications
• Valid Washington State RN license or Compact license
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Strong clinical skills in critical care procedures and patient management
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center setting
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Ability to handle high-stress, fast-paced environments with critical patients
• Previous experience with ventilator management and complex ICU interventions
