Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 3 shifts per week, night shifts (12-hour shifts)
- Contract position with rotating days and nights
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for oncology and hematology patients, including those with lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemias, sickle cell disease, and other non-hem cancer diagnoses
- Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and manage oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome
- Monitor patients via telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response team calls
- Support infection prevention protocols and fall prevention strategies
- Perform IV therapy, blood product administration, PICC line care, and manage central and peripheral lines
- Document patient care using computerized charting systems such as EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio, compact license accepted
- BLS certification (must be current)
- ACLS certification (preferred or required based on facility needs)
- Experience with MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Ability to perform IV insertions, blood draws, and manage central and peripheral lines
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hematology/Oncology experience preferred but not required
- Experience in Med/Surg units
- Knowledge of oncologic procedures and patient care protocols

Additional Details
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Strict compliance with Ohio fingerprinting process required for credentialing
- Self-scheduling and flexible shift requests available, subject to staffing needs
- Floating to other Med/Surg and Oncology units possible
- Patient diagnoses include lymphoma, leukemia, sickle cell disease, and others
Note
Candidates must complete fingerprinting promptly following contract signing. Travel and local candidates accepted; RTO requests must be included at submission. Ensuring timely credentialing is critical for successful placement.
