Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit within a hospital setting.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to patient needs accordingly.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and in compliance with hospital policies.
• Ensure safety and comfort of patients, adhering to all clinical standards and protocols.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training, including assessments such as ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio license or active Compact state license.
• Minimum of 18 months recent (within the last 18 months) hospital experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry.
• 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for prior to travel.
• Certifications: American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (active and current).
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments.
• Must be able to work at least every other holiday.
• Successful completion of background checks, drug screens, and fingerprinting requirements.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with hospital electronic medical records systems.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, acute care environment.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and telemetry interpretation.
