Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for adult and geriatric patients in a busy inpatient unit focused on stroke, TIA, and higher acuity medical-surgical cases.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress using Epic EMR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient experiences with a focus on safety and comfort.
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing needs and skill set.
• Adhere to clinical protocols, including managing procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications

• Active TN registered nurse license.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a similar acute care setting.
• Valid Epic EMR experience (minimum 1 year).
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Must be more than 100 miles from any Prisma facility to be eligible for travel assignment.
• No first-time travelers; travel orientation and testing are mandatory.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing stroke, TIA, seizure, and respiratory failure patients.
• Ability to work independently in a high-acuity environment.
• Strong patient communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Notes

• Shift hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM.
• Must complete onboarding modules within 48 hours of contract start.
• Floating to other units is required and permissible based on competencies.
