Key Responsibilities

• Provide certified cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) surgical assistance during adult, adolescent, and geriatric cases, including general and neuro surgeries with a preference for cardiovascular procedures.
• Participate in 2-3 calls per week, including at least one weekend per month (24 hours on Saturday and Sunday).
• Float only within scope of practice at the facility, with no floating to sister facilities.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including no tobacco use and nicotine testing.
• Follow hospital protocols using Cerner charting system; maintain professionalism and safety during high-acuity surgeries.
• Adhere to strict scheduling, including guaranteed 40 hours per week and on-call responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR scrub experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid state license at the time of submission (license not provided with application).
• Strong scrub experience with cardiovascular surgeries preferred.
• NBSTSA certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to work scheduled 10-hour daytime shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neuro and general surgeries.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system.
• Experience working in an acute care or trauma setting.
