Contracts – 13 weeks, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends, no call, onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum and Mother Baby nursing care in a high-volume unit.
• Monitor and assess patients, including non-stress tests, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin infusions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (Meditech and CPN).
• Support patient education and family engagement during postpartum stay.
• Adhere to unit policies, dress code, and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends.
• Experience in postpartum, labor/delivery, or antepartum units preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in Labor and Delivery or Antepartum nursing.
• Familiarity with non-stress testing, insulin/medication management, and necessary procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

The unit is located in a modern, 24-bed Women's Tower with a staff of 26, including charge nurses, RNs, and clerical support during the day. Staff typically work in a fast-paced setting with patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1, occasionally 2:1 based on acuity. The facility utilizes Meditech and CPN EMR systems.
