Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location
• Austin, TX

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, temporary contract
• Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct nursing care to antepartum patients in a labor and delivery unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including fetal well-being and maternal health.
• Perform procedures such as non-stress tests, insulin management, magnesium and heparin drips, and hyperemesis management.
• Document patient care in electronic medical records (Meditech and CPN).
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to unit policies, dress code (navy blue scrubs), and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications
• Valid registered nursing license in the state of Texas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work night shifts and 12-hour shifts.
• Experience in labor and delivery, antepartum, or obstetric unit preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous labor and delivery or antepartum nursing experience.
• Familiarity with procedures like non-stress tests and insulin management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
