• Full-time, 36-hour shifts, days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide labor and delivery care in a high-acuity, fast-paced maternity unit with over 300 births per month
• Manage obstetrical patients including high-risk antepartum, postpartum, and intrapartum care for patients 16 weeks and greater
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled cesarean births, emergency procedures, and high-risk obstetrical interventions
• Perform patient assessments, monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, and assist with routine outpatient procedures
• Float to other units as needed, including high-risk maternity care and OB triage, ensuring seamless patient care
• Precept and orient new staff members to the unit and clinical protocols
Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state, in hand at start
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with labor and delivery, preferably 3+ years in a high-volume setting
• Experience with more than 300 births per month and managing double labor assignments
• BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications
• Competent in circulating, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
• Experience with Epic EMR system and unit-specific systems such as PYXIS and SBAR
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous travel nurse experience, inclusive of first-time travelers with large/high-volume unit exposure
• OR circulate experience strongly preferred due to unit demands
• Ability to work in a high-stress, high-acuity environment with a fast-paced workflow

Note: This position involves floating to nearby units, working with a high acuity patient population, and managing multiple labor assignments daily. Candidates must be comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment with minimal RTO (7 days maximum, no RTO in first week) and adhere to holiday and fatigue policies.
Additional Notes:
• No call-offs or RTO post-booking; RTO approval required if exceeding 7 days
• Must complete required hospital modules prior to start; hours vary by role
• References to be obtained at the time of start; managerial references preferred
• Candidates must be comfortable floating and working in a high-volume, high-acuity setting
