Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a 42-bed Stroke and Heart Failure Unit, managing complex neuro-cardiac conditions.
• Float to different units and hospitals as needed, ensuring seamless patient care across departments.
• Collaborate with physicians, neurologists, and cardiologists to deliver best-practice standards of care.
• Document patient information accurately using the Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Maintain proficiency in managing neurological and cardiac diagnoses with compassion and technical skill.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and dress code, including wearing solid navy scrubs.

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing.
• Valid Alabama Registered Nurse license or Compact license (No Temp Licenses accepted).
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting, working with neuro-cardiac patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working on a specialized stroke or heart failure unit.
• Ability to float between units and adapt to different clinical environments.
