• Full-time, contract, rotating shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Assist during surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment and providing instrumentation to the surgical team
• Ensure proper packaging, processing, and sterilization of instruments and equipment according to safety standards
• Monitor the sterile field for contamination risks and correct as needed
• Support patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparations to facilitate efficient surgical workflows
• Collaborate with the perioperative team, participate in communication protocols such as Time Out, briefings, and debriefings
• Maintain current knowledge of surgical technologies and procedures, modeling professional and effective communication

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or licensed as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to obtain computer proficiency within 90 days to complete online training and documentation
• Must have a working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Physical ability to perform essential duties, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive movements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Tier 1 surgical cases or similar high-complexity procedures
• Knowledge of AORN standards and best practices in perioperative care
• Ability to adapt flexibly within a dynamic surgical environment
