Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit, including oncology overflow cases.
• Document patient care and monitor patient progress using electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Verify and maintain all required licensing, certifications, and documentation.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nursys License Verification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Current certification in basic life support (BLS).
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts during days.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC.
• Successful completion of Skills Checklist, References, and Resume with no gaps greater than 60 days.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with oncology overflow cases.
• Prior experience working in a hospital setting within the last two years.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
