Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services to adult and pediatric patients in a hospital setting.
- Operate and monitor advanced respiratory equipment, including vents, high-flow devices, and non-invasive support.
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records.
- Respond to critical situations and provide emergent respiratory care as needed.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- North Carolina Respiratory License.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP certification.
- Experience working in a busy hospital environment with critical care units.
- Familiarity with GE R860 vents, Draeger infant/peds vents, and other advanced respiratory equipment.
