Job Title

• Sterile Processing Technician

Location

• Portland, OR

Schedule / Job Type

• Night shifts, 5 days per week (Friday to Tuesday), 8-hour shifts (23:00 - 07:30)
• Contract, temporary assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and medical equipment in compliance with hospital protocols
• Floats between units as needed, maintaining flexibility across hospital departments
• Adhere to health and safety standards, including proper cleaning and sterilization procedures
• Document processing activities accurately using the Epic charting system
• Support hospital staff to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies for patient care
• Follow specific scheduling and holiday requirements, including working three out of five designated holidays

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience in a healthcare setting
• Current OR license or pending license submission acceptable
• Knowledge of Sterile Process Management (SPM) and Robotics preferred
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Prior experience working in a short-term acute care facility with a large bed capacity
• Experience with sterile processing in hospital environments
