Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 3 shifts per week, day shifts (12 hours each)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical-surgical care to post-operative patients, including those requiring negative-airflow rooms.
• Cover unit charge nurse responsibilities as needed, with provided training.
• Support patient care across various levels of care including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU if floated.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document patient information according to protocols.
• Adapt to unit needs, including floating to different care areas and working weekends on a rotating basis.
• Maintain compliance with all certification and licensure requirements, including COVID-19 precautions and PPE usage.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana prior to start date (temporary licenses may be obtainable).
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with Level 1 Trauma experience preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and weekends as scheduled.
• Must be fit-tested for an N95 mask or trained on PAPR device use.
• Successful completion of background check and RTO approval process.
• Out-of-state candidates require a 3-month or 90-day break to reset eligibility; in-state residents require a 6-month or 180-day break.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in trauma, post-operative care, or surgical units.
• Previous experience with negative-airflow rooms and associated equipment.
• Flexibility to float to different levels of care, including ICU and PCU, with resources provided.
