- Full-time, day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, or 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM options)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide certified surgical technician support in the general and specialty surgical units.
- Assist with preoperative preparations, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative procedures.
- Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols during surgeries.
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory of surgical supplies.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth and efficient operating room operations.
- Complete required orientation and assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio license in good standing (compact license accepted for starts from 01/01/2023 onward).
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in surgical technology.
- Current BLS certification (AHA).
- At least 2 years of recent surgical technician experience, with general surgery experience preferred.
- Ability to complete onboarding requirements including background checks and fingerprinting within specified timeframes.
- Successful completion of orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety tests.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a hospital operating room setting.
- Knowledge of specialty surgical procedures.
- Experience working within the Cleveland Clinic Health System or similar large hospital systems.
