Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub open heart, vascular, and wired vascular cases in the CVOR setting.
- Assist surgical teams during complex cardiovascular procedures.
- Adhere to sterile protocols and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
- Support the surgical team with instrument management and technical duties.
- Follow all hospital policies and safety procedures, including on-call and holiday coverage as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Surgical Technician, with CVOR experience preferred.
- Current Ohio license as a Surgical Technician or valid compact license accepted for starts after January 2023.
- AHA BLS certification is required.
- Must have at least 18 months of permanent experience in cardiovascular surgery.
- Pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
- Ability to recognize and respond to cardiac rhythms appropriately.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with open heart and vascular cases.
- Familiarity with wired vascular procedures.
- Experience with on-call and weekend shift coverage.
