Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Provide crisis counseling and therapeutic support to patients and their families.
- Document assessments and care plans accurately within electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community agencies to coordinate patient care and support services.
- Assist patients with social, housing, and financial resource linkage; work with state and federal agencies as needed.
- Participate in patient care conferences and discharge planning to ensure comprehensive support.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska LCSW or LMSW license at the time of application.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in inpatient or outpatient healthcare social work.
- Ability to perform mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and documentation in electronic health records.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical practice standards.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals dealing with homelessness, addiction, or persistent mental health conditions.
- Familiarity with community support resources and interagency collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
