Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments, including chemotherapy and IV therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Follow strict infection control and fall prevention protocols.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately using computerized charting systems.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio or compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including inpatient hematology/oncology.
• CHEMO certification (ONS Chemotherapy Certification).
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Proficiency in IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line management.
• Familiarity with Medicaid and EPIC electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention.
• Ability to manage PICC lines and perform sterile dressing changes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Information

• Night shift, 12 hours, 3 shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30.

Travel Compliance

• Strict adherence to Ohio fingerprinting requirements and deadlines.
• Candidates outside Ohio within driving distance must attend fingerprinting in Ohio immediately upon booking; those farther away will receive a fingerprinting packet for urgent completion.
• RTO requests must be included at submission and will be considered during scheduling.

Reference Requirements

• Two professional references, including at least one from a supervisor or manager (charge RN acceptable).
• Former employees eligible after a 6-month gap from previous employment.
• Current employees of the facility are not eligible.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must hold a valid license at the time of submission.
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited program required.
• All candidates must be responsive to credentialing, fingerprinting, and onboarding deadlines to ensure timely placement.
