Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

• Latrobe, PA

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 3x12-hour rotating shifts (night and day shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients in a high-acuity environment
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, intervening as needed
• Collaborate with medical team members to develop and implement patient treatment plans
• Document patient care accurately and maintaining compliance with hospital policies
• Float within hospital departments as required to support staffing needs
• Ensure all required certifications and compliance measures are met prior to shift

Required Qualifications

• Valid PA or Compact Nursing License
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI/CCM (as specified by the unit)
• COVID vaccination and booster status required
• Pass a 15-panel drug screen and complete fingerprinting within 24-48 hours of start
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital emergency room setting
• Ability to float between facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Prior experience with hospital protocols and multi-unit staffing
