Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

• Atchison, KS

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week contract, night shifts (12.5 hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), guaranteed 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a busy critical access emergency department
• Remain staffed along with ED team members 24/7, supporting patient needs efficiently
• Maintain compliance with required certifications and advanced procedures like ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and BLS
• Respond to emergency situations such as codes or rapid responses outside normal shift duties, without floating to other departments unless in critical events
• Utilize on-site lab, radiology, and cardiopulmonary services to support patient care
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Active licensure as a registered nurse in Kansas (KS)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications
• Previous ER or critical access hospital experience preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills in emergency settings
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in a busy ER environment with a high patient volume
