Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Location
• Lubbock, TX

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shift (3x12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients in a Level II trauma center
• Float between units as needed, adhering to department protocols and patient care standards
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient treatment
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including dress code and shift schedules
• Handle patient assessments, administer medications, and assist in emergency procedures
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records

Required Qualifications
• Valid Texas RN license or recognized compact license in hand at submission
• Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience
• Certification in TNCC, NIH, ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Ability to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Willingness to work night shifts and holidays as scheduled
• Ability to commit to being on-call is not required, but flexibility for floating between units is necessary

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in a busy emergency department or trauma center
• Familiarity with short-term acute care hospital environments
• Strong interdisciplinary communication skills
