Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

• Indianapolis, IN

• Full-time, 3x12-hour day shifts per week

• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical unit patients, including postoperative colorectal surgery and negative-airflow room care.
• Maintain staffing ratios of 1:5-6, with floating to different care levels (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) as needed.
• Support charge nurse responsibilities and potentially precept or shadow students and new staff.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, including fit-testing for N95 masks or PAPR training for negative-airflow patient care.
• Participate in unit operations, including managing call-ins, weekends, and holiday staffing requirements.

• Valid RN license in hand prior to start date (temporary licenses may be obtainable).
• Minimum of 18 months of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Must be able to pass fit testing for N95 masks or PAPR training.

• Previous experience in perioperative, IR, PACU, or cath lab nursing.
• Experience working with negative-airflow patient rooms and infection control procedures.
• ACEN or CCNE accreditation at graduation if out-of-state; local IN residents preferred.
