Schedule / Job Type

  • Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to labor and delivery patients in a hospital setting.
  • Manage patient monitoring, IV starts, and assist with childbirth procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions and care activities accurately in Epic electronic health records.
  • Adapt to floating assignments as needed within the labor and delivery department.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
  • Valid state licensure or a compact license in Ohio at the time of submission.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRPS certifications.
  • Experience with IV starts and Epic electronic health records.
  • Ability to meet strict fingerprinting and travel compliance deadlines.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Previous travel nursing experience.
  • Experience with Ohio-based healthcare facilities.
  • Knowledge of Ohio State University Hospital policies and procedures.
