Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Fort Defiance, AZ

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum, and newborn care within a hospital setting
• Manage an average of 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month
• Cover as a charge nurse when needed, with appropriate training, and support staffing needs as assigned
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and safety
• Participate in patient education and support new mothers and families

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Neonatal nursing in a healthcare setting
• Valid nursing license in the state of Arizona
• Certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Current Advanced FHM certification through AWHONN or substitute RNC-EFM; ACLS preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience covering as a charge nurse or taking on leadership roles
• Ability to float and work in other departments as qualified and needed
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, with adaptation to shift schedules
