Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts (3x12 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to adult patients in a busy ER setting
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions as prescribed
• Assess patient conditions rapidly and accurately for urgent and critical care needs
• Collaborate with ED team, security, and support staff to ensure patient safety and seamless workflow
• Support stroke center and STEMI protocols, including rapid evaluations and treatments
• Float within hospital departments as needed, within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Valid Maryland or Compact state nursing license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 3 years of ER experience
• Ability to work nights, every other weekend, and alternating holidays
• References required; candidates must have been away for at least 1 year if returning

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level 1 Stroke Center or ED with behavioral health units
• Experience working with rapid evaluation and urgent care units
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Additional Notes

• Shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Travel compliance requirements apply; must comply with Tier2 travel policies
• Modules are completed virtually on the first day of the contract and annually, with up to 8 hours factored into hours worked
• No RTO will be accepted after auto-offer; candidates must be flexible to float within the hospital
