Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with respiratory and other medical conditions in a 36-bed telemetry unit.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed to support patient care across departments.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy teams to deliver high-quality, specialized care.
• Administer treatments, monitor patient progress, and update care plans accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and safety protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher.
• Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact state (no temporary licenses accepted).
• BLS or Red Cross certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of combined experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in a similar specialty.
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals.
• Ability to work 36 or 48 hours per week, including holidays and every other weekend.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in pulmonary or respiratory care preferred.
• Knowledge of Meditech EMR system.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to adapt to unit needs.
