Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a busy emergency room environment, tending to boarder patients across various units including med/surg, stepdown, and ICU.
• Float to acute care units as needed to cover staffing demands.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and perform clinical duties with a focus on patient safety.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and observations accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality emergency care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital or similar high-volume ED setting.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and TNCC (Tactical Nursing Critical Care) certifications.
• Excellent clinical skills with a focus on emergency nursing procedures.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a resume with no gaps, ED skills checklist, and ED-specific references.
• Must be able to provide all demographics, including a badge-appropriate photo.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a designated float pool in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure setting.
