Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a busy Emergency Department, primarily focusing on boarder patients from the ED.
• Float to appropriate units such as Med/Surg, Stepdown, or ICU as needed.
• Tend to patients requiring urgent and critical care in a level 1 trauma facility.
• Maintain thorough documentation, including demographic and badge photo requirements.
• Follow all required protocols, including BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications.
• Exhibit strong ED skills, perform assessments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, level 1 trauma ED.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Complete and accurate resume with no gaps.
• Ability to provide ED skills checklist and references.
• Must submit all demographic information and a badge-appropriate photo.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a similar-sized trauma or acute care facility.
• Flexibility to float between units as needed.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
