Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care in an outpatient surgical setting for ophthalmology patients.
• Monitor and assess patient recovery following surgery, ensuring stability before discharge.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
• Manage post-shift call responsibilities as required, with flexibility based on department needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations and care provided using Meditech or similar systems.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license in hand.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a PACU RN, with a strong ophthalmology background preferred.
• Current ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience working in an outpatient surgical environment.
• Ability to work flexible post-shift hours for on-call duties (1800-2100).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in ophthalmology surgery.
• Knowledge of perioperative patient care and recovery protocols.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
