Key Responsibilities
- Assist with complex structural heart procedures, including PCI, TAVR, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, and heart catheterizations.
- Scrub, monitor, and manage PA lines and telemetry for patients within the cath lab.
- Provide support during specialized procedures such as Watchman, septal closures, ablations, coil embolizations, and filter placements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure adherence to procedural protocols.
- Float as needed to adjacent units, primarily EP, and support internal patient holding areas.
- Maintain accurate documentation within EPIC and MAC Lab systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cath lab or structural heart procedures.
- Structural Heart Scrub experience is mandatory.
- Active certification: ACLS and BLS.
- Valid license in North Carolina or a compact state, in hand at start.
- Certification in RCIS or ARRTP preferred.
- Ability to work 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, with call and weekend rotation.
- Willingness to float and accommodate schedule changes as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with cardiac ablations, septal closures, coil embolization, and rhythm interpretation.
- Skills in circulating, IV starts, and conscious sedation.
- Familiarity with EP lab procedures such as Watchman and Filter placements.
- EKG rhythm interpretation skills.
