Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades 3-5.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 9 students within a self-contained "Functional Skills" program.
• Provide instruction and support tailored to students with diverse needs.
• Track student progress and collaborate with team members to ensure educational goals are met.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to district policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid WA State Teaching Certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary students, preferably in a functional skills setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of special education laws and best practices.
• Ability to work full-time during regular school hours.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in full-time self-contained special education programs.
• Familiarity with IEP development and compliance.
• Prior experience in elementary education with a focus on functional skills.
