- RN Telemetry (MedSurg/Telemetry)
Location
- Alexandria, LA
Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit.
- Monitor patients using telemetry equipment, including EKG, DynaMaps, and other diagnostic devices.
- Assist with procedures such as heart caths and ensure patient safety.
- Document patient information accurately using the Meditech EMR system.
- Collaborate with a team of nurses, CNs, techs, and support staff to maintain optimal patient ratios.
- Adhere to unit policies and maintain a positive, helpful attitude with patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Telemetry experience in a MedSurg setting.
- Experience with Meditech EMR system.
- Strong time management and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to float across all MedSurg Tele floors.
- Certifying with applicable healthcare certifications.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with heart cath procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
