Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity surgical trauma floor, including spinal, neuro, trauma, and surgical cases such as gunshot wounds, quads, and paraplegic patients.
• Collaborate with nursing support staff, unit secretaries, phlebotomists, and other team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Complete nurse handoffs with ED nurses and admitting units.
• Adhere to shift schedules, with no block scheduling and no RTO requests accepted.
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and patient management.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a specialty setting.
• Valid RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience working in a high-acuity setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Prior work in trauma, neuro, or surgical units.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
