Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit at a major hospital campus.
• Float to units J1-2, J33, and ED as needed to support patient care across the same patient population.
• Work 3x12-hour shifts per week, with rotations between day and night shifts, including holiday coverage.
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition, medication administration, and other critical nursing duties in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Complete required orientation assessments and pass certifications including ECG, SafeMedicate, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Adhere to hospital policies for documentation, safety, and patient care standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for, prior to travel.
• Recent stepdown or ICU experience, with previous travel experience acceptable.
• Valid Ohio license or compact state license at the time of submission.
• Active American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate during orientation.
• Ability to work every other holiday as required.
• Must pass background checks (BCI/FBI) within 48 hours of signing the contract.
• Qualified for standard travel compliance procedures (Qualivis Lotus submission, all documentation in order).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in PCU/Progressive Care units is preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior ICU or stepdown experience, including recent travel assignments, highly desirable.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills relevant to stepdown patient care.
