Registered Nurse PACU

Job Title

• Registered Nurse – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Day shifts (3x12 Hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute inpatient PACU care for patients following surgical procedures.
• Float to related units such as Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), Home Healthcare (HH), and nearby hospitals as needed.
• Ensure patient safety, monitor recovery, and document care using Epic charting system.
• Adhere to state licensing requirements and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to assess, plan, and implement patient recovery care.
• Participate in holiday coverage as required, working 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California Registered Nurse license in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an inpatient acute PACU setting.
• Ability to work daytime shifts (11:00 to 23:00).
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic charting systems.
• Willingness to float across units and facilities within the hospital network.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous float experience within hospital systems preferred.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with perioperative care.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
