Key Responsibilities

• Provide Med/Surg Telemetry nursing care to adult patients at a major hospital campus.
• Float between units as needed, including units J1-2, J33, and occasionally to the Emergency Department, to care for similar patient populations.
• Monitor and recognize ECG rhythms; administer medications and treatments per hospital protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining compliance with hospital policies.
• Complete required assessments and certifications during orientation, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate testing.
• Work at least every other holiday, adhering to hospital staffing needs and policies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months recent full-time Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for prior to travel.
• Valid Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores during orientation.
• Must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and days.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI background checks within 48 hours of contract signing.
• Clear drug screen within the past year (Nicotine tests waived for Nurses and CSTs).
• No open license hits or unresolved license issues.
• One supervisory reference in the specialty applying for (or from a physician if RNFA/CSFA).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating within hospital units and working in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry environment.
• Prior familiarity with hospital electronic health record systems and certifications.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under hospital protocols.

Additional Notes

• Orientation modules are required pre-start and annually; time is billable.
• Must complete badge pickup, onsite fingerprinting, and all compliance requirements prior to start date.
• Travelers will be scheduled for 3 shifts per week, with shift rotations based on hospital needs.
• Candidates must have permanent Ohio licensure or accepted compact license from start date.
