Registered Nurse - Oncology PCU (IMC/Stepdown)

Full-time, Night shifts (12-hour shifts), 3 shifts per week, rotating contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to oncology and progressive care unit patients, including pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret dysrhythmias using telemetry systems.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy and blood products, following protocols.
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and other vascular access devices.
• Respond to rapid response team calls and manage emergencies.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio or a valid compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in high-acuity PCU or telemetry units preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH.
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and central line care.
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology care, including chemotherapy administration and monitoring.
• Experience with advanced airway management (CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC).
• Knowledge of Heparin protocols and titration of cardiac drips.
• Travel or previous oncology/Pcu experience is a plus.

Additional Notes

• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing due to strict compliance deadlines.
• Self-scheduling requests accepted; orientation includes a week of day shift training followed by unit orientation with a preceptor.
