Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Contract, 6-week assignment, nights (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.), approximately 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality ICU nursing care to adult patients on a 12-hour night shift.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Float to other Northshore hospital ICUs as needed, ensuring seamless patient care continuity.
• Participate in mandatory holiday rotations and six weekend shifts within the schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Epic EMR experience.
• Ability to pass an ECG skills test.
• Submission of updated resume, at least one recent reference, and all active certifications along with skills checklist.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a hospital setting that utilizes Epic electronic medical records.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Additional Notes

• Orientation scheduled for Monday. Credentials are due by Thursday prior to start.
