Tech Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Title

• Echocardiography (Echo) Technologist

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Day shift, rotating between 8 and 10-hour days

Key Responsibilities

• Perform adult and pediatric echocardiograms, including Bubble Studies, Contrast imaging, TEE, Stress Echos, and portable studies
• Operate specialized ultrasound equipment and accurately interpret imaging results
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols such as isolation precautions and procedures on ICU/ED patients
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing weekend and evening/night coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and sometimes float within scope to different facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' echocardiography experience
• ARDMS, BLS, and RDCS certifications required
• Ability to perform adult and pediatric echocardiography including stress tests and transesophageal procedures
• Must be licensed to practice in Illinois (or able to obtain license prior to start)
• Must be available to arrive in Illinois 3 business days prior to compliance fingerprinting requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Siemens ultrasound experience desired
• Experience with hospital protocols in Level II Trauma centers
• Knowledge of Cerner charting system
• Ability to perform advanced imaging techniques such as Pharmacologic Stress Echo, RVIT, RVOT, and use contrast agents
