Job Title

• Pre-Operative / Post-Operative Registered Nurse

• Full-time, Days shifts, 5x8 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in a 25-bed unit.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal recovery outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient vitals, responses, and progress using Cerner charting system.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including coverage for other units or facilities as required.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical and safety protocols, including ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Assist with patient education and prepare patients for surgery or discharge as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in hand.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent surgical or perioperative nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association or Red Cross only).
• Experience with Cerner charting preferred.
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Must be able to secure housing and complete compliance requirements timely.
• Open to first-time travelers with the appropriate experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior perioperative or surgical unit experience.
• Experience floating within a hospital setting.
• Familiarity with travel compliance and onboarding processes.
