Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignments, Night shifts, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional postoperative care to general surgical patients in a 32-bed unit.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed to ensure patient care continuity.
• Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, and surgical teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patient recovery, manage pain, and assist with mobility and bedside procedures.
• Ensure a comfortable and healing environment tailored to each patient's needs.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and medication administration protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
• Valid Alabama state nursing license or an Alabama compact license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS or Red Cross certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit; 18 months considered with appropriate licensure.
• Two years of experience preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital setting with a focus on postoperative care.
• Ability to float cross-functionally across units and hospitals.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
