Registered Nurse (RN) – IR / Special Procedures

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 4 x 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with call rotation; 5 x 8-hour shifts may be considered

Key Responsibilities

• Verify orders and patient consent, perform head-to-toe assessments, and provide patient education prior to procedures

• Set up procedure rooms and circulate cases across IR and Cath Lab/EP suites

• Administer moderate sedation and assist anesthesia providers as needed during cases

• Continuously monitor and document patient hemodynamics throughout procedures

• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team including technologists and anesthesia providers

• Participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotation with a 30-minute response time requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience

• IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) experience is required

• Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with Merge and/or Cerner preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in IR procedures such as port placements, liver biopsy, IVC placements, G-tube placements, and PICC/central line placements

• Neuro IR experience including coiling, thrombectomy, and embolization procedures

• Familiarity with EP lab workflows and STEMI team protocols
