Travel RN – Behavioral Health (Psychiatric)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Projected Start: May 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on an inpatient behavioral health unit with up to 120 beds
- Perform behavioral health admissions and discharges in accordance with unit protocols
- Serve as a Lead RN resource, with classes and training provided on unit
- Utilize EMR (Meditech) and unit equipment including vital signs machines for patient monitoring
- Float to other inpatient adult behavioral health units as needed
- Collaborate with RNs and Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) to deliver compassionate, team-based patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- CPI Certification (Calm Every Storm Certification also accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of current behavioral health nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong inpatient behavioral health experience
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to manage varied patient acuity levels
- Team-oriented mindset with a compassionate approach to mental health patient care
