Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week | 8-Hour Shifts, Primarily Day Shift | Hours vary based on OR schedule | On-Call Required | Holidays generally off unless on-call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide surgical technologist support to the OR, PACU, and Day Surgery areas
• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, aseptic, and organized condition in accordance with department cleaning procedures
• Assist clinical staff with preparation of equipment and supplies needed for surgical procedures
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of asepsis and sterile technique throughout all procedures
• Support clerical or other non-nursing administrative duties related to the department as needed
• Assume additional duties as assigned by the Director of Surgical Services or designee

Required Qualifications

• Current certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (CST) required
• Current Washington State license required
• Current BLS certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience
• Ability to lift, pull, and push equipment as required by the physical demands of the role (up to 50 lbs.)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum one year of hospital-based surgical experience preferred
• Working knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and OR department functions and philosophies
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and accurately under stressful conditions and alongside a diverse team of physicians
