Contract | Travel | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Perform swallow evaluations for post-extubation, stroke protocol, pneumonia, failure to thrive, and altered mental status patients
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and deliver targeted treatment interventions
- Provide dysphagia treatments for an adult and geriatric acute care population
- Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies with full proficiency and independence using fluoroscopy equipment
- Manage a full caseload of approximately 10–12 patients per day
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida Speech Language Pathology License (provisional licenses not accepted)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Full proficiency and hands-on experience performing MBS/fluoroscopy studies
- Demonstrated experience with adult and geriatric populations in an acute care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel therapy experience with the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced acute care environment
- Ability to function independently with minimal orientation, particularly in patient care procedures
- Prior experience with Meditech or comparable hospital EMR documentation systems
